Yangyang Pan (b. 1976) studied at Sichuan Fine Arts Institute, earning an Honours Bachelor of Arts in 1998 and a Master of Fine Arts in 2002. She taught at the institute until immigrating to Canada in 2006.
Her work reflects a cross-cultural dialogue between East and West. Rooted in the spirit of Oriental culture, Pan creates vibrant gestural abstractions inspired by natural optical phenomena and guided by emotion and spontaneity.
Her work has been exhibited across Canada and the United States, as well as in Italy and China. She has completed commissions for Apple, Amour Vert, Holt Renfrew, and Anthropologie, and her paintings are held in private, public, and corporate collections worldwide.
