I use artwork to connect. As someone who has struggled with social anxiety since childhood, painting allows me to communicate fully my love and gratitude for this world, it's people, and this beautiful life.
I studied painting at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design and currently live and work in Bloomfield, New Brunswick. I work in oil and watercolour, and I use these mediums to search out and communicate the truth of a subject, of a moment, of a quality of light. My artwork is grounded in realism but embraces a painterly quality to help keep things truthful. My work is awash in colour and light, and it is infused with a reverence for the mundane beauty all around us.
